The Benefits of Facial Steaming

Facial Steaming is one of the most beneficial activities that you can do for your face. It is relaxing and rejuvenating, it increases circulation, opens your pores, generates circulation and gives you a very deep cleanse.

It is recommended that you do a facial steam once a week. Doing it more often can lead to skin imbalances. 

Before doing a facial steam, use a good facial cleanser to remove all make up and dirt from your face and neck. You will need a heat proof bowl, clean water and a towel. Boil your water and carefully fill your bowl 1/3 to 1/2 full. Cover you head and the bowl with a bath towel. Do your facial steam for 20 - 30 minutes. Allow your face to air dry but apply a moisturizer while your face is still damp.

You can add herbs to your water to increase the therapeutic and cleansing effects. I use lavender to relax, rosemary, eucalyptus and sage when I feel a cold coming on. The possibilities are endless.
